Info on William Chapman & Mary Crocker Chapman's son Hardy's family. Hardy married Sally Johnson and they had one son before he died. Articles go on to mention son Hardy & his wife Mailda Holmes Chapman and their children who fought in War Between the States.
Also mentioned in the article is a connection to the following families: Chapman, Holmes, Johnson & Clayton. While I know how the first three are connected I have not been able to establish the Clayton connection yet. If this is from the Chapman side I would love to know.

Not mentioned in article is that Sally Johnson Chapman married Valentine Jenkins. They had a daughter Nancy who married Bennett Brock.
Sally was the daughter of Capt James Johnson of Revolution who died at the age of 99. He was a member of the convention that adopted the constitution and served the county for many years.
